THE BUILDING EXHIBITION
After artist Becky Gottsegen completed the 23 portraits of these men exonerated by Innocence Project New Orleans, an exhibition was put together at The Building on Oretha Castle Haley Boulevard in New Orleans. The building is an event venue with a large upstairs gallery where art exhibitions are frequently held.
The opening reception coincided with "Give NOLA Day" on May 7, 2024, and 13 of the 23 men included in the exhibition were in attendance, most with their spouses or significant others.
